About
So. You want to know something about me, eh? Well, it’s pretty simple.
- My birth name is Rachel, my alias is Poppy, and I’ve completely blurred the line between internet and reality, so you can call me by whichever one you want.
- I’m 16 years old, born on October 20, 1995
- I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and I have lived in the same house my entire life.
- I don’t really know what my sexuality is, and I also don’t really care. At this point, I’m completely uninterested in dating, and anyway, I don’t believe a label is necessary - just love who you want to love, you know?
- Probably you can tell from that last post, but I support all human rights. I’m actually the president of my school’s Gay-Straight Alliance.
- I’m also a feminist. But like…a real one. Not an annoying one.
- I hope to be an English professor, a psychologist, or, most of all, a novelist, in the future. Writing is my passion.
- I’ve been playing the piano for ten years, and I also play the flute in the band at school - I’m in the top concert band, and apparently I’m a pretty good marcher too.
- I first traveled to Disneyworld when I was only 7 weeks old, and have since been 11 times, with another trip planned for this December. Mind you, this doesn’t include trips to Disneyland or the Disney Cruise we went on last summer.
- I also own every (animated) Disney movie ever made, except for Treasure Planet and Atlantis.
- I’m kind of a Disney freak, if you can’t tell by now. If you claim to know more about Disney than me, I’ll just laugh.
- I will also laugh if you claim to know more about Harry Potter than me. It is my favorite book series, and I have read it far too many times to count. I waited a week to read the end of Deathly Hallows because I didn’t want Harry to die. I hate the 8th movie with a fiery passion. I read Harry Potter essays in my spare time. Your argument is invalid.
- In addition to Harry Potter, my other favorite books include but are not limited to The Hunger Games, The Luxe series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, A Song Of Ice and Fire, and anything by Gail Carson Levine, Phillippa Gregory and Jean Plaidy. My favorite genre is historical fiction, specifically anything about the Tudors.
- I don’t watch a lot of TV or movies (compared to most folks on Tumblr), but I love Dollhouse and Avatar, and most musicals, my favorites being Singin’ In The Rain, West Side Story, Into The Woods, Chicago, RENT, and Phantom of the Opera.
- I get sad a lot, but nothing makes me sadder than seeing other people sad. If you want to vent, or want advice, or just want someone to listen, my ask box is always open.
- Also, I post a lot of food. So…be warned.
- If you have any other questions, just shoot me an ask! I love to talk about myself. (Seriously. I have this thing where I hate myself while also being obsessed with myself. It’s kind of ridiculous.)
- And this is my face:
